Osage Beach, Missouri

I have visited Osage Beach, Missouri 3 times in the past year, and I have stayed in the same condo complex all 3 times.

I stayed at one property twice and that is the property that I am highlighting, because my experiences at that property have been flawless.

The Property

The host at this property has been extremely easy to deal with and has gone out of her way to make both of my stays enjoyable. The place is simple, not flashy at all, but very comfortable.

It’s a small, one bedroom condo, with walk out access from the patio and the complex is quiet and comfortable.

As a side note, there is no dishwasher and no washer or dryer in the unit, but there is a laundry facility located at the top of the property. I have spend a total of 4 weeks at the complex and have never had any issues with getting laundry done.

The Area and My Adventures

I have fallen in love with the entire area during the time that I have spent there. It’s beautiful, the people are friendly and it has everything that you need for daily living in a very small radius.

One thing I will say, however, is that I have only been there “off season.” The summer season is busier, obviously more people and properties such as this are far more expensive.

I have been there is April, September and October and the weather was still very pleasant and I was able to enjoy the area to the fullest. Here re some of the places that I have visited.

Lakeview Bend Trail

It’s a simple and short trail, with some nice views.

And it is located right along the water.

Ha Ha Tonka State Park

I have visited this park 3 times and have hit most of the trails. There is a such a variety of things to see, from an old castle, to beautiful water areas.

Peaceful and quiet.

I also took a drive down to The Mark Twain National Forest, which I highly recommend. I wish I would have had more time to explore, but this trail was amazing

Slabtown Cave Overlook Trail

It was a n=bit sketchy getting down to the cave, but if you take your time and watch your step, it’s manageable. There has even been rope left behind to help on the way down and back up, because it is steep.

I am more than happy that I took the time to visit this trail and make my way to the cave. It was absolutely beautiful.

This is only a small sample of what Osage Beach and The Lake of The Ozarks has to offer, but I can confidently say this. If you visit that area, you will not be disappointed. As always, the best source for hiking trails is All Trails, and where I found every place that I visited.
